A greatsword is a true two-hander: a blade long and heavy enough that both hands belong on the grip. The German zweihander — literally "two-hander" — is the most famous of the family, carried by Landsknecht mercenaries to break pike formations in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Every greatsword here is hand-forged in 1095 high-carbon or pattern-welded Damascus steel, with blades from about 45 to 95 inches. Choosing between them mostly comes down to size and role: a zweihander with parrying hooks is the showpiece of the family, a plainer two-handed longsword suits re-enactment and cutting practice, and the largest pieces anchor a wall like nothing else we make.

Not sure a two-hander fits your space? Mid-length blades live in our longswords collection, the Scottish branch of the family has its own claymore collection, and the novelty-scale pieces are under giant swords. Or browse all of our swords. Most designs can be engraved or built to order in our custom builder.
