This fixed-blade knife is synonymous with hunting and collecting, characterized by its large sheath, cross guard, and iconic clip point. Modern Bowie knives typically feature blade lengths between 6 and 12 inches, with broad, thick steel blades ideal for a variety of tasks. Its design excels in hunting, particularly for skinning or butchering game. The curved top clip bevel is perfect for skinning, while the straight edge near the guard is suited for cutting meat. Blade Materials
Our Bowie knife is made from premium 1095 steel, renowned for its high carbon content of 0.95%, which is significantly higher than the common 1045 steel with 0.45% carbon. This high carbon level ensures excellent edge retention and hardness, with a typical Rockwell hardness rating of 56-58 HRC. By blending 1095 steel with softer steels, we achieve an optimal balance of hardness and flexibility.
