The Damascus
The head is forged from a billet of eleven steel pieces — six layers of carbon steel and five of 1095 — folded five times to reach 352 layers. The folding gives the head its flowing pattern, and because the pattern is forged into the steel rather than etched onto the surface, it runs the full depth of the head. Every billet is worked by hand, so no two pieces carry the same figure.

This is a decorative, collectible axe: the historical tomahawk silhouette — a 4" edge on a haft under two feet — rendered in genuine folded Damascus. It hangs on a wall mount or sits on a stand, and the leather sheath dresses the head when displayed edge-down.
