Viking Ax - 23" - Handmade High Carbon Damascus Steel Blade
Viking Ax Description
This Viking Ax / Viking Axe is an 23" ax with a 5" head designed for battle. It is made from pattern welded Damascus steel and designed for beauty and function. The Viking ax was a weapon used in the middle ages and was used and owned by most Scandinavians during the Viking reign.
The Viking ax is made from Pattern welded Damascus steel. Pattern welded Damascus steel scimitar is a hard heat treated, folded carbon steel. There are 11 pieces of steel, folded five times, making 352 layers. The steel is the perfect combination of hardness and durability with a Rockwell hardness rating between 55 and 56 HRC. High carbon damascus steel must contain layers of high carbon steel. The high carbon steel we use is 1095 steel which is the highest content carbon steel used in swords. The combination of the steel layers creates a sword that is strong enough to hold a powerful edge while having the strength and flexibility to withstand powerful collisions. This makes the perfect steel for swords. The handle is bone and horn with Damascus steel bolsters. It comes with a leather sheath.

I love my new axe! It's made of high quality Damascus steel with a gorgeous design and a sleek black walnut handle with leather braiding that fits my hands perfectly and doesn't slip during a swing. I'm very impressed with the balance too. Excellent craftsmanship all the way around!
Great craftsmanship takes time. This ax is well balanced as well as beautiful. Worth the wait.
I received my order yesterday the handle and grip were very sturdy, not made out of cheap plastic. The blade was phenomenal, you can tell he took his time on it. Every detail was meticulous, well worth the wait! I emailed Brian and he was very prompt on getting back to me. I will definitely purchase from them again.
