Jitte-To – 41” Sword of the Blade Master
The Jitte-To is a masterful fusion of the Japanese jitte and a full-length sword, blending the defensive capabilities of a sai-like weapon with the cutting power of a katana or tachi. Traditionally, the jitte was wielded by law enforcement and samurai retainers to disarm and control opponents, but this 41-inch bladed variant elevates the weapon into a formidable battlefield tool, capable of both offense and defense.
Forged in 1095 High Carbon Steel
Crafted from 1095 high carbon steel, the Jitte-To is built for sharpness, durability, and resilience. The high-carbon content ensures a razor-sharp edge and superior blade retention, while the expert heat treatment allows for both cutting power and defensive blocking.
Distinctive Design & Functionality
- Forward-Swept Guard – The curved quillons act as weapon traps, allowing the wielder to catch, deflect, and control enemy blades while maintaining offensive capability.
- 41-Inch Full-Length Blade – Unlike traditional jitte, this extended sword variant provides increased reach and slashing ability, making it as effective in open combat as in close encounters.
- Double-Edged or Single-Edged Option – Available in either a straight, dual-edged blade for thrusting and slashing or a katana-inspired curved blade for fluid strikes.
- Wooden Handle with Metal Accents – The hand-wrapped grip ensures a firm and comfortable hold, allowing for precise maneuverability.
- Steel Reinforced Pommel – Designed for counterbalance and blunt-force strikes, reinforcing the sword’s multifunctional nature.
