Introducing our Large Gurkha Kukri knife, a traditional Nepalese blade known for its distinctive inward curve. This versatile tool doubles as a utility and combat weapon, and remains a staple among the Nepalese people. The Gurkha Kukri holds a significant place in many military forces worldwide, including the Royal Gurkha Rifles of the British Army and various Indian Army regiments, earning it the well-recognized English names of “Gurkha blade” or “Gurkha knife”. This multifaceted knife is not just a weapon; it's a potent symbol appearing in Nepalese heraldry and used in numerous cultural rituals.

Our Gurkha Kukri knife is expertly crafted from pattern-welded Damascus steel, which is a meticulously heat-treated, folded carbon steel. The blade's formation involves a complex process of folding 11 pieces of steel five times, resulting in 352 layers. This creation technique yields a blade that perfectly balances hardness and durability, boasting a Rockwell hardness rating between 55 and 56 HRC.

The high-carbon Damascus steel we utilize contains layers of 1095 steel, the highest content carbon steel used in swords. This layered composition enables the sword to maintain a sharp edge while demonstrating the strength and flexibility to endure robust impacts. This quality is what makes Damascus steel perfect for sword creation.

Our Gurkha Kukri knife is paired with a handle fashioned from sage and hickory wood and enhanced with brass bolsters, providing an excellent grip and aesthetic appeal. A protective leather sheath accompanies the knife, making it easy to store and carry.
