Valknut Viking Ax: A Robust Blend of Historical Design and Modern Craftsmanship

Authentic Medieval Weaponry: The Valknut Viking Ax, a 21-inch battle-ready axe with a 5-inch head, is a robust representation of the axes wielded during the Viking Age. Embodying the spirit of the Scandinavian warriors, this ax was a primary weapon of choice, known for its effectiveness in battle and versatility in various tasks. Its design pays homage to the rich history of the Vikings, renowned for their skill in warfare and craftsmanship.

Superior Blade Quality: The ax's blade is forged from 1095 steel, a material celebrated for its high carbon content (0.95%) and exceptional hardness. This steel is preferred for its ability to maintain a sharp edge, critical in battle and practical use. With a Rockwell hardness of 56-58 HRC, the blade strikes the perfect balance between sharpness and durability. The steel's inherent lack of flexibility is skillfully countered with a clay tempering process, which enhances its resilience. The clay is applied to selectively insulate parts of the blade, ensuring a razor-sharp edge while allowing greater flexibility in the rest of the blade. This meticulous process results in an ax that is not only incredibly strong but also less prone to breakage upon impact.

Ergonomic and Durable Design: The handle of the Valknut Viking Ax is crafted from high-quality wood, providing a sturdy and comfortable grip. This material choice not only adds to the ax's authentic look but also ensures ease of handling, whether for display or practical use.

Product Specifications:

  • Handle Material: Wood, offering a traditional and reliable grip
  • Overall Length: 21 inches, a balanced and commanding size
  • Ax Head Size: 5 inches, designed for effective striking
  • Rockwell Hardness: 56-58 HRC, ensuring edge retention and strength
  • Sheath: Durable leather for safe storage and transport
  • Blade Material: 1095 Steel, chosen for its high carbon content and hardness

A Symbol of Strength and Tradition: The Handmade High Carbon 1095 Steel Valknut Viking Ax is more than just a weapon; it's a tribute to the legendary Viking era. Its craftsmanship reflects the skills passed down through generations, while its robust design makes it suitable for historical reenactments, collection, or even practical applications.

Ideal for history enthusiasts, reenactors, or collectors, this Viking Ax is a testament to the enduring legacy of Viking craftsmanship and the timeless appeal of medieval weaponry.
