Elegant Katana – The Quintessence of Samurai Legacy

Immerse yourself in the revered tradition of the samurai with this exquisite katana. The katana, with its origins deeply rooted in ancient and feudal Japan, was the weapon of choice for the legendary samurai warriors. With its distinctive curved, single-edged blade, a circular or squared guard, and a long two-handed grip, the katana has become an emblem of martial refinement and artistry. Acknowledged by Western historians as one of the finest cutting weapons fashioned in world military history, a true katana is defined as a sword longer than 24 inches. Our katana extends to an impressive 40.5 inches and is meticulously crafted from blended high-carbon Damascus steel, accented with brass bolsters, embodying both beauty and might.

Blade Composition This masterwork is forged from pattern-welded Damascus steel, renowned for its strength and aesthetic appeal. The blade's core is constituted of 11 pieces of steel, folded five times to amass an astounding 352 layers. Such precision engineering results in an optimal balance of hardness and durability, with a Rockwell hardness rating of 55 to 56 HRC. The 1095 high-carbon steel, employed in the highest echelons of sword making, ensures a blade of unparalleled toughness capable of retaining a razor-sharp edge while also possessing the necessary flexibility to withstand forceful impacts.

Sword Specifications:

  • Overall Length: A commanding presence at 40.5 inches.
  • Sheath: A dual-material sheath, featuring wood for structure and leather for style and resilience.
  • Blade Material: The Damascus steel blade, an intricate fusion of:
    • 6 Pieces of Carbon Steel #43 and #40
    • 5 Pieces of High Carbon Steel 1095
    • A detailed folding process resulting in 22, 44, 88, 176, and ultimately 352 layers.
  • Tang: A full tang provides exceptional strength and balance.
  • Handle: Carved from premium wood and complemented with brass bolsters for an elegant, secure grip.
  • Rockwell Hardness: At 55-56 HRC, the blade offers an ideal compromise between edge retention and flexibility.

Katana Sword – High Carbon Damascus Steel Masterpiece – 40.5" – A Salute to the Samurai Spirit: This katana is not merely a blade; it is a bridge to the past, a symbol of the samurai ethos of honor, precision, and discipline. Designed for the modern connoisseur with a nod to the historical swordsman, it stands ready as a testament to the heights of traditional swordsmithing. Whether showcased as a collector's piece or held in hand with purpose, this katana is a tribute to the enduring art of the sword.
