Dragon Gurkha Kukri Knife: A Fusion of Nepalese Tradition and Exquisite Craftsmanship

Rich Cultural Heritage: The Gurkha Kukri Knife is an iconic symbol of Nepal, revered for its unique inward curvature and versatile functionality. This legendary blade, serving as both a tool and a weapon, is deeply rooted in Nepalese culture. It is famously used by the Royal Gurkha Rifles of the British Army, Nepalese Army, and various Gorkha regiments globally, earning its renown as the "Gurkha blade." Beyond its military significance, the Kukri is a staple in Nepalese heraldry and traditional rituals, embodying a rich historical legacy.

Exceptional Blade Quality: Crafted from pattern-welded Damascus steel, this Kukri exemplifies strength and beauty. The blade consists of 11 pieces of steel, intricately folded five times to create 352 resilient layers. This forging process ensures a perfect blend of hardness (55-56 HRC) and durability, ideal for a blade expected to withstand rigorous use. The high carbon 1095 steel contributes to its remarkable edge retention and flexibility, qualities essential for a blade of this caliber.

Elegant and Durable Design: The handle of the Dragon Gurkha Kukri is crafted from bone, adorned with a silver pommel and brass guard, blending traditional aesthetic with modern ergonomics. This design ensures a comfortable grip and adds a touch of elegance to the knife.

Product Specifications:

  • Handle Material: Bone with Damascus Steel, Silver Pommel, and Brass Guard
  • Overall Length: 19 inches, providing a balanced and manageable size
  • Rockwell Hardness: 55-56 HRC, signifying a tough and enduring edge
  • Blade Layers: 352, showcasing the intricate Damascus steel craftsmanship
  • Sheath: Robust leather for safe storage and transport
  • Blade Composition:
    • 6 Pieces of Carbon Steel #43 and #40
    • 5 Pieces of High Carbon Steel 1095
    • Progressive folding process for unmatched blade integrity

A Symbol of Versatility and Strength: The Dragon Gurkha Kukri Knife is not just a piece of weaponry; it is a multifaceted tool reflecting the spirit of the Nepalese people. Its utility in various contexts, from military applications to ceremonial use, underscores its significance in Nepalese culture.

Whether you are a collector, a historian, or someone who appreciates fine craftsmanship, the Handmade High Carbon Damascus Steel Dragon Gurkha Kukri Knife is a testament to the enduring art of traditional Nepalese weaponry.
