This impressive sword is crafted in the style of traditional Japanese anime swords, featuring a formidable design and exceptional craftsmanship. The blade is made from Pattern welded Damascus steel, a heat-treated and folded carbon steel known for its superior hardness and durability. The construction includes 11 pieces of steel, folded five times to create an astonishing 352 layers. This meticulous process results in a blade with a Rockwell hardness rating of 55-56 HRC, striking the perfect balance between a sharp edge and the resilience needed to withstand powerful impacts.
High carbon Damascus steel is renowned for its quality, and we use 1095 steel, the highest carbon content steel in sword-making. This blend of steel layers produces a sword that is not only capable of maintaining a razor-sharp edge but also offers the strength and flexibility necessary for rigorous use. The handle is crafted from wood and adorned with brass bolsters, providing both aesthetic appeal and a comfortable grip.
Embrace the power and elegance of this massive anime-inspired sword. With its extraordinary craftsmanship and high-quality materials, it is a perfect addition to any collection or for practical use.
This is a ridiculous sword, with its weight and size, but you have to expect that from something they are calling an Anime Sword. The blade is sharp and looks nice. The only issue I had with it was that the handle was a little loose. However, that was easily fixed by tightening the pommel, which it seems was either not tightened all the way or it came loose during shipping. That's not really a big deal and easily fixed.

The legend of Damascus steel dates back over a thousand years. Forged by master swordsmiths, these blades were prized for their incredible strength, flexibility, and the mesmerizing “watered” pattern that set them apart. At Battling Blades, we preserve that tradition through authentic forging methods—layering multiple steels to create powerful, beautiful blades that honor the ancient art of Damascus craftsmanship.
Each Battling Blades weapon is unique, featuring its own swirl and pattern born from hours of heating, folding, and hammering. Our artisans use high-carbon and nickel steels for optimal hardness and edge retention, creating blades that perform as impressively as they look.
