Large Gurkha Kukri Knife: A Legacy of Nepalese Craftsmanship

Introducing the epitome of Nepalese tradition—the Large Gurkha Kukri knife. Renowned for its distinctive inward curve, this formidable blade serves both as a utility tool and a weapon of valor. A testament to Nepalese heritage, the Gurkha Kukri is esteemed worldwide, gracing the ranks of the Royal Gurkha Rifles of the British Army and various Indian Army regiments. More than a mere weapon, it stands as a proud symbol in Nepalese heraldry and is deeply ingrained in cultural ceremonies.

Our Gurkha Kukri is a marvel of craftsmanship, forged from the finest pattern-welded Damascus steel. Each blade is the product of a complex layering process, folding 11 pieces of steel five times to produce a resilient 352-layer construction. Such a blade achieves an optimal balance of hardness and durability, reflected in a Rockwell hardness rating of 55 to 56 HRC.

The use of high-carbon 1095 steel, known for its exceptional edge retention, ensures that our kukri maintains its keen edge through the most demanding tasks. This layered steel is not only striking to behold but also enables the kukri to withstand significant impacts, making it ideal for the creation of fine swords.

Complementing the blade is a handle crafted from sage and hickory wood, accented with brass bolsters for superior grip and visual elegance. A custom leather sheath accompanies each kukri, safeguarding your blade and facilitating its transport.
