Embark on a historical odyssey with this authentic representation of the Falcata sword, a lethal blade synonymous with the Iberian warriors of ancient times. With a lineage linked to the revered kopis of ancient Greece, this formidable sword encapsulates a rich combat heritage. Its unique design, characterized by a menacing forward curve, culminates in a weapon proficient in delivering powerful, cleaving strikes akin to an axe.

Blade Material: The heart of this Falcata lies in its blade, expertly forged from 1095 high carbon steel. This steel, notable for a significant carbon content of .95%, distinguishes itself for its extraordinary hardness and superior edge retention. With a Rockwell Hardness rating of 56-58 HRC, this blade is built to endure the rigors of combat. Yet, a blade's usefulness in battle is also dependent on its flexibility, which prevents it from shattering upon impact. Our swordsmiths, aware of the rigidity inherent to 1095 steel, have employed the revered technique of clay tempering to impart this blade with a flexible spine while maintaining a razor-sharp edge. By applying clay along the spine prior to quenching, the blade's edge is cooled rapidly to retain its hardness while the spine, cooled slowly, acquires a flexible character. This intricate process culminates in a blade of exceptional durability and lethal efficiency.

Handle Design: The Falcata's hilt continues the tradition of innovation, with its inward curve providing a snug rest for the wielder's hand, ensuring a firm grip and precise control over the blade's formidable power.
