Experience the superior quality of our Skinner Knife - a hunting tool steeped in tradition, optimized for precision and control. Named after the Bowie knife, a fixed-blade innovation from the 19th century, our knife embodies a timeless American design, beloved by collectors and hunting enthusiasts alike.
The skinner knife stands out as a special type of hunting knife, designed primarily for preparing game to be used as food. It features a rounded point to carefully skin the animal without causing damage and a curved portion for efficient meat slicing. Its design has a dual purpose - the curved top clip bevel is perfect for skin removal, while the straight edge closer to the guard is ideal for cutting meat. Our skinner knife can also adapt to other survival uses in the wild, operating as a camp knife or hatchet when necessary.
Our knife is constructed from Pattern-welded Damascus steel - a heat-treated, folded carbon steel, meticulously forged through a detailed process. We begin with 11 pieces of steel, folded five times to create 352 resilient layers. The result is a perfect blend of hardness and durability, with a Rockwell hardness rating between 55 and 56 HRC. The high carbon steel we use is 1095 - the highest content carbon steel available, often used in swords. This steel combination yields a blade capable of maintaining a powerful edge, while possessing the strength and flexibility to resist powerful impacts.
The handle, crafted from buffalo bone, matches the blade's toughness with an HRC of 55-56. To complete the ensemble, the knife comes with a leather sheath for protection and easy carry.
Our Skinner Knife is more than just a tool - it's a testament to enduring craftsmanship, making it perfect for display, hunting, or simply to add to your collection.
