To counteract this, our longsword undergoes a clay tempering process. By strategically applying and insulating areas of the blade, except the edge, with clay during quenching, we achieve a blade that's not only sharp but also flexible. Hand made beauty

My wife ordered this for me and although it shipped super late, the product was awe inspiring. I’m not sure how they keep their prices so low considered how well this is made especially considered if went through a clay tempering process. I haven’t tested the battle ready component of the sword yet but it feels sturdy and high quality. Also, the scabbard is wonderful and I can’t wait to order my next sword from BB! Shoutout to Andy for keeping me in the loop throughout the process. (Side note- it would’ve been nice if the website indicated whether the sword was in stock, or would have to be built).
