Knights Templar Shield
The Knights Templar shield was the shield style used during the crusades. The shields of the crusaders were generally triangular shape, with some variation. The most popular and recognized style was the kite shaped shield. Most crusaders preferred the kite shaped shield over the traditional flat top shield. The enarmes were straps used to hold the shield in the left hand while in use. The left forearm was thrust through two straps, and the hand gripped the third smaller strap for more control. This shield is made of 20 gauge steel and is in the traditional style. It measures 22” wide and 24” tall.
