Step into the world of expert craftsmanship with our distinctive Bowie Knife, a testament to the legendary Jim Bowie. This fixed-blade knife, created by James Black in the early 19th century in Arkansas, USA, continues to capture the imagination of collectors and hunters alike.

Our Bowie Knife is a multifaceted hunting tool known for its large sheath, crossguard, and distinctive clip point. With a blade length varying between 6 and 12 inches, it's not just a knife, but a symbol of robust utility and enduring strength. Its broad, thick steel blade is optimal for a variety of tasks from skinning game to butchering.

The unique design of the Bowie Knife showcases a curved top clip bevel, impeccably sharpened for efficient skin removal from a carcage. The straight edge near the guard excels at cutting meat. These Battling Blades Bowie Knives aren't merely a collection piece, they are a statement of superiority in quality, crafted from exceptionally thick steel. While they make exceptional hunting tools, please note these knives are not intended or sold for use as weapons.

Exceptional Blade Material

Our Bowie knife is crafted from pattern-welded Damascus steel – a heat-treated, folded carbon steel known for its supreme resilience. The process involves meticulously folding 11 pieces of steel five times, creating 352 distinct layers. The result is a perfect balance of hardness and durability, reflected in a Rockwell hardness rating of 55-56 HRC.

The high carbon Damascus steel contains layers of the highest content carbon steel used in swords - 1095 steel. This specific combination makes the knife strong enough to retain a powerful edge while withstanding significant impact. The handle is made of African wench wood and horn, set off by Damascus steel bolsters, and it includes a leather sheath for safekeeping.

Handle construction could be better as it's a little skinny. Overall a beautiful blade with just the slightest warp.

Nice Knife

It's a nice blade, full tang, good patterning and sharp. With a little grinding it is absolutely perfect. I think there is some room for improvement with the sharpening but overall it is very good.
