Gurkha Kukri -Stag Horn Handle- Handmade High Carbon Damascus Steel Machete/ Knife/ Sword- 16"
Gurkha Kukri Description
The Gurkha kukri is a Nepalese knife with an inward curvature. The knife is similar to a machete and can be used as both a tool and a weapon. The Gurkha knife remains the basic utility weapon of the Nepalese people. It is also used by the the Royal Gurkha Rifles of the British Army, Nepalese Army, Assam Rifles, Gorkha regiments of the Indian Army, and of all Gurkha regiments worldwide. Due to the worldwide regiment use, the weapon acquired the English name “Gurkha blade” or “Gurkha knife”. The Gurkha knife often appears in Nepalese heraldry and is used in many traditional rituals.
This gurkha knife is made from Pattern welded Damascus steel. Pattern welded Damascus steel is a hard heat treated, folded carbon steel. There are 11 pieces of steel, folded five times, making 352 layers. The steel is the perfect combination of hardness and durability with a Rockwell hardness rating between 55 and 56 HRC. High carbon damascus steel must contain layers of high carbon steel. The high carbon steel we use is 1095 steel which is the highest content carbon steel used in swords. The combination of the steel layers creates a sword that is strong enough to hold a powerful edge while having the strength and flexibility to withstand powerful collisions. This makes the perfect steel for swords. The handle is stag horn with brass bolsters. It comes with a leather sheath.

These were exactly what I was expecting from my order. I ordered 6 of these as gifts for my sergeants and they absolutely loved them. 10/10 will buy from here again
I have used this knife twice now. Once deer hunting and once bear hunting. I didn’t know how bad I needed it. It worlds great for breaking trail and then helps cut the big bones/joints while field dressing. I am buying 4 more for my Sons. They all hunt and will carry this for the rest of their lives. It is SO WELL MADE!!! I will be able to pass down to my great grandson if the good Lord let’s me live that long. I have bought a total of 9 knives from Battling Blades and have been thrilled with each. From skinning to Gurkha top quality. The knives come a bit dull for obvious liability reasons but a good hour with 400 then 1000 grit will put the perfect edge on it for you. I think the bevel at 22 degrees on all their knives. At least that has worked for me. Love LOVE. REALLY LOOOOVE their knives
blades were sharp and exactly what I ordered. Very satisfied with the purchase. Will do more business in the future.
Worth purchasing mine was solid. Stick to blades that are solid not weak handled
I was very happy with my Kukri knife. The company was also easy to contact and communicate with.
